Leno Hits A New Low

The late night comics always take shots at our Presidents. And many times their remarks are funny-depending on whose ox is being gored. However, Jay Leno has hit a new low by trying to get laughs from a foible of President Bush's.

"The National Enquirer" writers JENNIFER LUCE and DON GENTILE wrote an article entitled "BUSH'S BOOZE CRISIS". It states President Bush, "has hit the bottle again."

Whether or not The Enquirer's facts are true, getting laughs over Mr. Bush's problem with alcohol is no laughing matter. Millions of Americans and their families suffer because of alcoholism. To make sport of ANYONE by implying that they have gone back to drinking is not only "unfunny" - it's irresponsible.

Might we suggest boycotting Mr. Leno? Send a message to NBC that is also "unfunny"-we, as Republicans and Americans, are not going to stand for his sick brand of comedy. We are not being prudish. We just believe that making light of a person's alcohol problem is neither funny nor appropriate.
